Privacy
Draft, last updated 2026-10-03. This text has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and will change before Huduku launches publicly.
If you're just reading
- No account, no cookies of our own, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels.
- Headlines you've opened look faded because your own browser remembers the links you've visited. That history stays in your browser; Huduku never sees it.
- The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect it, and may set a short-lived security cookie. Huduku keeps no record of who reads what.
- Clicking a headline takes you to the publisher, whose own privacy policy applies there.
If you keep a notebook
- The headlines you keep and everything you write stay in your browser, on your device. Huduku never receives them: there's nothing to sign in to, and nothing is stored on our servers.
- Exports (a saved copy, a web page, a PDF or text) are made in your browser and go only where you put them.
- A teacher's question in a class link travels after the "#" in the link, which browsers don't send to servers. Huduku shows it but never receives it.
- Analyse event asks Huduku's server for headlines by their ids, and for any search you type under "Missing one?". Which headlines you choose, and the name you give the event, stay in your browser. A shared evidence link holds headline ids; the event's name and a question, if you add them, travel after the "#".
- You can clear your notebooks from a device in the notebook's settings. Lab mode, for shared computers, keeps nothing on the device once its tab closes.
If you have a workbench account
- We store your email address, display name, optional bio, the sources you follow, and the articles, notes and dossiers you save. That's used only to run your workbench.
- Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication). We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to profile you.
- Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent by closing your account. Write to the contact address (to be published here before launch).
If you requested an invite
The name, email and note you sent are kept only to consider your request, and deleted on request.
